Polar Bear, the modern-jazz band formed by maverick Aberdonian drummer, Seb Rochford, has their album “In Each & Every One” nominated for the Barclaycard Mercury Music Prize whilst London-based rapper Afrikan Boy has been nominated as “Best African Act” in this year’s MOBO awards.
Afrikan Boy’s debut album “The ABCD” was just released to critical acclaim as was Polar Bear’s, earlier in the year.
Polar Bear are currently mixing their new album in California and Afrikan Boy is planning to tour extensively in 2015 having played WOMAD, Nigeria and dates in London this Summer.
The Winner of the Barclaycard Mercury Music Award is announced on October 29th and the MOBO Awards are announced at Wembley Arena on October 22nd.

George Ezra's 'Wanted On Voyage' sits at No.6, produced by our own Cam Blackwood. Jacknife Lee produced the most recent singles from rock outfit Twin Atlantic's 'Great Divide' which is sitting comfortably at No.4, and The Courteneers 'Concrete Love' is a new entry at No.3 produced by Joe Cross!
Jess, who is currently guest vocalist on the Clean Bandit single “Rather Be”, will release the song “Home” in February.

Alex Metric has annouced his new EP "Ammunition Part 3" via Skrillex's label OWSLA. The EP is released digitally on April 2nd.
